So, to make it simpler and easier for you, I will be sharing 12 proven methods to drive targeted traffic. All of the methods below may not be applicable to you, so you can use the ones you find the best suited for you.

When it comes to earning from affiliate programs, the most important thing needed is targeted traffic. There are plenty of ways to generate targeted traffic for your web-pages, so it can be very confusing not knowing where to start from. So, to make it simpler and easier for you, I will be sharing 12 proven methods to drive targeted traffic. All of the methods below may not be applicable to you, so you can use the ones you find the best suited for you.

1. Quora

If you are not already aware, Quora is a Q & A (Question and Answer) platform. There are lots of Q & A sites on the internet, but there is something unique about Quora that keeps its users engaged. You will find all kinds of discussion on this platform, so whatever niche you are into, you will find something to engage yourself with the community. The platform provides a very easy and convenient way to link any words or sentences so whenever you see an opportunity, you can link your affiliate product.

2. Medium

It came into existence just 7 years ago, but gained its popularity around the world very fast. The platform has around 60 million monthly active users and since it is a content platform, we can expect it to increase in the near future.

You can start an account in Medium and start writing about your niche. You can drive traffic by mentioning your blog address in the bio and also you have the opportunity to link affiliate products whenever you write a post in this platform.

3. YouTube

Whoever is reading this article uses YouTube because YouTube has become an integral part of our lives. Many influencers are helping people through YouTube videos and you can as well. You do not need to have a high end set up like a good camera, lens, lighting, and editing to be a YouTuber. What’s important is the genuineness and depth in your content and discussion.

If people are consuming your content on YouTube, then for sure most of them will visit your recommended link that you can put in the description or somewhere in the video as YouTube offers such features to put a link in video or the description. Moreover, you will also earn from the ads YouTube puts on your video.

4. Facebook

We all know Facebook and we all know people use it for business as well. Engage with the group only when you see a genuine opportunity. It might be possible that in a day you did not get enough content to engage people in any of the groups. It is a very interesting and fun Social Media platform. You can publish content of any medium here like Text, Audio, Video, Images. The platform is really fun to use. Similar to some of the other platforms discussed above, create your posts, engage with others in your niche and drive traffic based on the opportunities you get.

8. Reddit

Whoever is into internet marketing knows Reddit to be a good source to drive traffic. However, unlike other platforms, Reddit is extremely strict about their guidelines. You must stay here by following their guidelines. Else, whatever time you invest here will be wasted.

9. LinkedIn

The audience in LinkedIn is genuine. All the users are highly active here and they read and follow others with a hope to learn something from experts or to get a new opportunity. You can easily engage into a great discussion here and also there are groups where you can join to drive traffic. As discussed above as well, if you do not find anything to engage or comment in a day, no worries, move to other platforms.

10. SlideShare

This platform is by LinkedIn. It is another highly effective place for marketing and traffic driving.

If you write an informative article, then in most cases chances are that you will have some bullet points. For example, this article has 12 main points. I can easily convert these 12 points into 12 slides and make it ready for the SlideShare platform. You can also engage with others via comments and if an opportunity arises, you can ask them to visit your affiliate products.

People like to attend webinars because they feel that they will get some value out of it, so be sure to plan webinars once a week or month and at the end of the webinar you can direct them to your affiliate products.

All the 12 methods I have discussed above are highly effective, but the trick is that you will have to keep it genuine. In a day, all of the platforms might not give you much opportunities to drive traffic, some might and some might not. However, even if you are operating on 3 to 4 platforms well in a day, it can give you plenty of targeted traffic to start with.
